Power Performer of the Month: Dalton P.

Recore Electric • July 27, 2026

We're proud to recognize Dalton as Recore Electric's Power Performer for the month of April.

Meet Dalton: Field Technician

Dalton has been a valued member of the Recore team for going on two years and currently serves as a field technician.

Building a Foundation in Industrial Trades

Dalton completed an industrial maintenance apprenticeship through Gaston College's 321 program, studying machining, welding, residential and industrial electrical work, and PLC programming — all while working full-time at Hunter Douglas in Bessemer City, NC. After the plant closed in October 2023, he traveled the East Coast working on gas turbine generator shutdowns. Though it was valuable experience, life on the road wasn't for him, so he returned home to Bessemer and joined Recore. He chose to focus on the electrical side because it challenged him most, and he has now earned the hours needed for his limited electrical license and will be testing soon.

An Early Start

Dalton was inspired to pursue this career at a young age while helping his father manage apartments from ages 10 to 15. Working with his hands every day after school sparked his interest in manual labor, and once he discovered the depth of the electrical field, he knew it was the right path for him.

Dalton's advice for anyone new to the field: "Take care of your body and health and learn from everything around you. Even when conversations or projects seem above your level, listen closely — there's always something to learn that will help you stay ahead." When asked what he likes most about working at Recore Electric, he said, "All the guys I have been able to work with have great attitudes and stay positive throughout the day."

Please join us in congratulating Dalton for his incredible work and dedication.
